The Accumulator Tank is a site-specific landmark, with a segmented form and illuminated crown inspired by a traditional lighthouse. Its design responds to the city’s scale and skyline, enhancing both orientation and a sense of safety in the area.

The upper volumes draw from the shape of a ship’s bow, a tribute to Gothenburg’s maritime heritage and the nearby Drömmarnas Kaj. Facing the E45 highway, the form creates a welcoming gesture within the urban landscape. With its distinct silhouette and symbolic presence, The Accumulator Tank reinforces the site’s identity, offering a contemporary expression grounded in local history.
